The Pediatric Orthopaedic Fund began with a grant from the physicians at Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine who have observed firsthand how uninsured children have suffered life changing consequences from delays in treatment of orthopaedic injuries. The Fund is designed to financially assist injured, uninsured children and provide unobstructed access without delay to the medical care they need. Every day injuries occur; kids fall from trees, take a spill off of a bicycle or get hurt playing football. Children from all walks of life may sprain a joint or break a bone. Every child deserves the best care that medicine can provide. This care shouldn’t be limited or delayed by a lack of insurance or limited family finances. The Pediatric Orthopaedic Fund ensures that this care can be provided for these deserving children. The Fund is designed to help families without insurance or with limited financial resources when their children require essential orthopaedic care.
